Trailer Lands For New Walter Hill Western Dead For a Dollar | Watch Trailer

Veteran movie director, Walter Hill is back with new Western Dead For A Dollar, and has released the first trailer for the film.

Walter Hill hasn’t made a film since 2016’s underrated Tomboy, and he hasn’t made an all out Western since 1995’s Wild Bill (with an honourable mention to 1996’s underrated Bruce Willis vehicle Last Man Standing).

The fact that he’s back with a new Western is very exciting news.

Dead For A Dollar follows famed bounty hunter Max Borlund, who runs into his sworn enemy Joe Cribbens, a professional gambler and outlaw that he had sent to prison years before, while on a mission to find and return Rachel Price, the wife of a successful businessman who is being held hostage in Mexico. Standing in the way is an infamous gangster who gets a piece of any action that happens along the Mexican border.

Christoph Waltz and Willem Dafoe will play Max and Joe, respectively, while Rachel Brosnahan will play Rachel. Benjamin Bratt will play the as yet unnamed gangster. Also in the cast are Brandon Scott, Warren Burke, Hamish Linklater and Guy Burnet.

Hill writes and directs from a story he co-wrote with Matt Harris.

Dead For A Dollar will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on the 6th September, with a UK release date to be announced. Watch the trailer below.
