Unreleased 2Pac Songs and Lyrics Up for Auction for $250,000
Previously unheard recordings and handwritten lyrics from legendary rapper 2Pac have surfaced for sale, with a price tag of $250,000.
According to TMZ, the rare items are being auctioned by Moments In Time, an online platform specializing in music and historical memorabilia. The collection reportedly includes unreleased music from an early 1990s project featuring 2Pac and a group called Jesse and the Kidz. The album was never officially released due to the untimely death of a band member.
The auction listing details three previously unknown tracks—”Leave Us Kidz Alone,” “Streetz Got Ya Babies,” and “Bedtime Storiez.” Photos show handwritten lyrics and a cassette containing the recordings. However, the sale only includes ownership of the physical items, not the rights to reproduce or profit from the material.
Meanwhile, new developments continue in the long-running case of 2Pac’s murder. Duane “Keefe D” Davis, the only person charged in connection with the rapper’s 1996 killing, has maintained his innocence. In a recent interview with ABC News, Davis denied any involvement and claimed prosecutors have no solid evidence linking him to the crime. He further alleged that former Death Row Records security chief Reggie Wright Jr. was responsible for orchestrating the murder.
Wright Jr. has strongly denied the accusations, stating, “It’s heartbreaking they keep dragging in my name. One of the worst days of my life was when I heard that [2Pac] had been killed.”
Davis, 61, is set to stand trial later this year.
