We Have Over N600bn Worth of Petrol in Store – Dangote
Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited, has confirmed that his refinery has a substantial reserve of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to meet Nigeria’s fuel demands.
Speaking during a visit by Zambia’s Minister of Energy, Makozo Chikote, and his delegation, Dangote revealed that the refinery currently holds over half a billion litres of petroleum products, valued at more than ₦600 billion.
“Our refinery is producing sufficient gasoline, diesel, and kerosene to fully cater to Nigeria’s needs,” he stated, emphasizing the facility’s capacity to ensure stability in the local fuel supply.
Dangote also highlighted the refinery’s role beyond Nigeria, stressing its contribution to regional trade. “This refinery is not just for Nigeria – it is for Africa. We are committed to strengthening trade within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),” he added.
The Dangote Refinery, one of the largest in Africa, is positioned to reduce fuel imports and enhance energy security across the continent.
