Wizkid And Tems Set New Record On Billboard Chart With ‘Essence’
Popular Nigerian music stars, Wizkid and Tems have set a new record on the billboard chart with the song, “Essence.”
In an official announcement today, Friday, August 12, 2022, Wizkid and Tems’ ‘Essence’ was confirmed by Billboard to have set a new and unmatched record on the chart.
‘Essence’ became the first and the only song to spend a year in the top 10 of the Billboard R&B/ Hip Hop airplay chart.
Billboard revealed:
The song entered the tier on the chart dated Aug. 21, 2021, and has never left – a run of 52 consecutive weeks as of the list dated Aug. 13, 2012. The anniversary is secured as the song slides 3-4 despite a 5% gain in weekly audience to 16.7 million in the week ending Aug. 4, according to Luminate.
