Young Jonn Says Davido’s Wealth Pushes Him to Work Harder
Nigerian music producer-turned-singer Young Jonn has admitted that superstar Davido’s financial success often leaves him feeling humbled – and motivated.
Speaking during a sideline interview at the Paris Fashion Week, the “Go Hard Or Go Home” hitmaker was asked if he had ever encountered someone who made him feel financially inadequate.
Without hesitation, Young Jonn replied, “Too many times, bro. Davido. Whenever I see his money, I’m like, I need to work hard and drop more songs.”
While the comment drew laughter, it also revealed the respect he has for Davido’s accomplishments. According to him, the singer’s success serves as a powerful source of inspiration.
In 2024, Young Jonn had previously shared that becoming an artist wasn’t part of his original plan. He described his transition from producer to performer as accidental.
Before launching his singing career, Young Jonn made a name for himself as a producer with YBNL Nation, where he was behind several chart-topping tracks for artists like Olamide and Lil Kesh.
