Young Noble of Tupac’s Outlawz Dies at 47 in Apparent Suicide

Young Noble, a longtime member of Tupac Shakur’s iconic rap group Outlawz, has died at the age of 47. His death was confirmed on social media by fellow group member E.D.I. Mean, who revealed that Noble died by suicide.

In an emotional Instagram post, E.D.I. Mean paid tribute to his friend and collaborator of over three decades, while also drawing attention to the importance of mental health.

“My brother & partner of over 30 years took his life this morning,” he wrote. “Rest in Power Young Noble. Mental illness is real. CHECK ON YOUR FOLKS.”

Tupac’s official Instagram page also acknowledged the news by resharing E.D.I. Mean’s message, sparking an outpouring of condolences from fans and peers in the hip-hop community.

Young Noble, born Rufus Cooper III, joined Outlawz in the mid-1990s and appeared on several projects with Tupac, including Still I Rise and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. He remained active in music and continued releasing solo and group projects after Tupac’s death.

His passing has reignited conversations around mental health awareness, particularly within the entertainment industry, with many urging fans and loved ones to prioritise regular emotional check-ins.
