2024 Grammy Nominations Announced: SZA Dominates with Drake, Ice Spice, and More Recognized

In the rap category, the competition is fierce. Drake and 21 Savage’s “Her Loss,” Travis Scott’s “UTOPIA,” Nas and Hit-Boy’s “King’s Disease 3,” Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains,” and Killer Mike’s “Michael” are all vying for the coveted Best Rap Album title.

The battle for Best Rap Song is equally intense, with nominations including Doja Cat’s “Attention,” Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock,” Drake and 21 Savage’s “Rich Flex,” and Killer Mike’s “Scientists & Engineers” collaboration with André 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane.

While the three major categories see a notable absence of Hip Hop artists, Ice Spice is making waves as she contends for Best New Artist. The artist, who previously claimed similar honors at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards and BET Hip-Hop Awards, is positioned as a strong favorite.

The nominations across the remaining rap categories include Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem, Lil Durk, J.
