50 Cent Reacts as Chris Brown Posts Nearly $7 Million Bail in UK Assault Case

Rapper 50 Cent has weighed in on Chris Brown’s recent release from custody in the United Kingdom, after the R&B singer posted close to $7 million in bail following his arrest on serious assault charges.

Taking to social media, 50 Cent – a longtime supporter and past collaborator of Brown – praised the artist’s talent while celebrating his temporary freedom. “CB out, he made bond,” he wrote. “I’m only saying [something] about him because I think he is the best overall artist out. I watched his whole run!”

Brown, who is facing charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, was arrested in Manchester last week in connection with a 2023 altercation at a London nightclub. He was initially denied bail and remanded in custody until June 13 – just days before he is scheduled to perform in Manchester as part of his Breezy Bowl tour.

After being released on bail, Brown posted a brief message to fans on Instagram, writing, “FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!!”

As part of his bail conditions, the singer must remain at a specific address in the UK, surrender his passport, and comply with strict court-imposed terms. However, authorities have granted him permission to travel internationally for his tour.

The charges stem from an alleged assault involving music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in 2023. Prosecutors say CCTV footage captured Brown striking Diaw with a bottle and allegedly stomping on his head while he lay unconscious on the ground – describing the incident as “extremely serious.”

Diaw later filed a civil lawsuit against Brown, accusing the singer of causing “severe and lasting injuries” and spreading false information about him following the altercation. It remains unclear whether the legal dispute has been resolved outside of court.

Authorities had reportedly tried to question Brown shortly after the incident, but he left the UK before they could make contact. Now, with the trial looming, the international star remains under close scrutiny as the case progresses.
