6ix9ine Receives “Unique” Golden Statue in Cuba as Recognition Grows
Controversial Hip Hop artist 6ix9ine, known for his polarizing presence in the music industry, has been honored with a distinctive gold statue in Cuba following his visit to the country last year. Recently surfaced footage showcases a golden sculpture featuring the rapper’s characteristic grin, rainbow grills, kaleidoscopic braids, tattoos, golden 69 chains, and a microphone in one hand while holding a stack of cash in the other.
The “unique” statue, situated on a street corner in the favelas of Cuba, has garnered attention for its representation of the artist’s distinctive persona. Fans have expressed approval, with one commenting, “Believe it or not, that statue represents us Hispanics, whether you’re young or old. We came a long way to get where we’re at, hispanos…(No specific ethnicity).”
6ix9ine’s journey to Cuba followed a notable incident in March last year when he faced a brutal beatdown at a Miami gym. Choosing a more discreet location, he resurfaced in Pinar del Río, the capital city of the province with the same name and the 10th largest city in Cuba. The rapper was spotted hiking and later released a music video for his single “Bori,” showcasing his philanthropic side as he gave back to the local Cuban community by distributing $50,000 in American dollars to kids and families in the area.
In another development, 6ix9ine’s girlfriend, Yailin La Más Viral, faced legal troubles in December in Palme Beach, Florida, with charges of felony assault. The charges included felony battery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, obstruction of justice, and criminal damage to property worth $1000 or more. Record producer Santiago “Alofoke” Matias posted a surety bond of $9,000 on her behalf through 561 Bail Bonds.
Footage from 6ix9ine’s Instagram captured an altercation between the couple, leading to Yailin’s arrest. The video documented a heated argument, with Yailin using a piece of wood to smash 6ix9ine’s phone and the two engaging in a physical struggle before her eventual arrest.
