Davido Reveals He Would Have Been an Actor If He Wasn’t Singing
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has shared that if he hadn’t pursued a career in music, he would have still remained involved in the entertainment industry, but in a different capacity.
Speaking with content creator Darryl in a recent interview, Davido revealed that he would have worked behind the scenes in the music industry, considering his background in business marketing. However, the singer also expressed his interest in acting, revealing that he has the skills to pursue it.
“I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space but probably more behind the scenes,” said Davido. “I can also act. I act in my music videos, like in ‘Jowo’ and ‘Nwa Baby.’”
Davido also mentioned that he is currently investing in the film industry, sharing plans to venture into film production this year. “Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming. The film space in Africa is struggling right now, so we’re definitely going to tap into that,” he added.
With his multifaceted talents, it seems the “Fall” hitmaker is looking to expand his influence beyond music, eyeing new opportunities in the growing African film industry.
