HP Unifies OMEN And HyperX Under Single Gaming Brand

HP Inc. has consolidated its gaming products under one banner, rebranding its portfolio to bring OMEN gaming PCs and displays together with HyperX peripherals under a single master brand, HyperX.

The change was unveiled on 5 January at CES 2026 in Las Vegas and marks a strategic shift aimed at strengthening HP’s position in high-performance and AI-powered gaming. Under the new structure, HyperX will serve as HP’s all-in-one gaming ecosystem, covering laptops, monitors, peripherals and supporting software.

HP said the move is designed to create a more connected and immersive experience for gamers, creators and esports players.

“Gamers expect a unified experience that reflects their passion, from powerful systems to the gear that brings games to life,” said Josephine Tan, HP’s Senior Vice President and Division President for Personal Systems Gaming Solutions. “By bringing OMEN and HyperX together, we are pushing gaming innovation further through performance, personalisation and smarter experiences.”

Alongside the rebrand, HP announced a lineup of new products carrying the HyperX name. Among them is the HyperX OMEN MAX 16, which the company describes as its most powerful gaming laptop so far. The device delivers up to 300 watts of total platform power and is built on next-generation Intel Core Ultra 200HX and AMD Ryzen AI processors, with graphics options reaching up to NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.

HP said the laptop is engineered to maintain peak performance during demanding gameplay, supported by an updated OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro system. Additional features include a high-response keyboard, a 240Hz OLED display and AI-based performance tuning through OMEN AI.

The company also introduced the HyperX OMEN OLED 34, a 34-inch ultrawide gaming monitor using next-generation QD-OLED panel technology. The display offers a 360Hz refresh rate, rapid response times and high colour accuracy, along with USB-C power delivery and a built-in KVM switch.

Expanding its peripherals lineup, HP revealed the HyperX Clutch Tachi, its first arcade-style controller licensed for Xbox. The leverless controller is designed for competitive play, featuring magnetic switches and customisable button layouts managed through HyperX’s NGENUITY software.

Looking further ahead, HP showcased an in-development HyperX gaming headset created in partnership with Neurable. The headset uses neurotechnology and artificial intelligence to interpret brain signals in real time, with the aim of enhancing focus and precision during gameplay.

HP said the HyperX OMEN MAX 16 laptop, HyperX OMEN OLED 34 monitor and HyperX Clutch Tachi controller are expected to launch on HP’s website in the spring, with pricing details to be announced closer to release.

According to the company, the rebrand reflects a broader effort to unite hardware, intelligent software and emerging technologies under a single gaming identity as competition in the global gaming market continues to intensify.
