Nancy Isime Opens Up on Why She May Never Have Children
Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has shared her thoughts on parenthood, revealing why she may decide not to have children.
Speaking during an appearance on the Thanks For Coming podcast on Tuesday, the actress reflected on her perspective about bringing children into the world.
When asked how many children she would like to have, Isime explained that although she loves children, she believes genuine love can also mean choosing not to have them because of the hardships and uncertainties of life.
“You know the craziest thing about loving children? I feel like if you really love children, you wouldn’t want to bring them into the world.
“Are you not suffering today? Have you not seen me today? Is earth not ghetto? Are you not going through a lot? Don’t you wish some days that you were not born?” she said.
Her remarks have sparked conversations online, with many people sharing differing views on parenthood, personal choice, and the realities of raising children in today’s world. While some agreed with her perspective, others argued that despite life’s challenges, many people still find joy and fulfilment in having families.
