A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have continued to spark speculation about their marital status following the release of a new song with Pharrell Williams titled “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n).” In the song, A$AP Rocky refers to Rihanna as his wife, singing the lyrics, “My wife is erotic, I’m smokin’ exotic.”
The rumours began swirling after the release of A$AP Rocky’s music video for his single “D.M.B.” In the video, A$AP Rocky is seen wearing a gold grill that reads “Marry me?” while Rihanna responds with a matching grill that says, “I do,” suggesting a playful wedding scenario as they walk down the aisle together.
Both tracks, “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n)” and “D.M.B.,” are part of A$AP Rocky’s upcoming album, “Don’t Be Dumb.”
Further fueling the speculation, observers noted that the couple appeared to be dressed in bridal-inspired outfits during this year’s MET Gala. Rihanna even captioned a photo from the event on her Instagram with the words, “shout outz 2 the bridal party….here come de bride.”
During a performance at the Cannes Lion Festival last month, A$AP Rocky also referred to Rihanna as his wife, expressing his love for her in front of the audience. “I’d like to dedicate this song to my beautiful wife in the mothrf*ing building!” he proclaimed, as reported by Page Six.
Earlier this year, Rihanna made headlines during her Super Bowl Halftime performance in Phoenix when she proudly showcased her growing baby bump. A$AP Rocky watched from the field in support as she mesmerized the audience with her performance.
Following the announcement of her second pregnancy, Rihanna spoke to British Vogue about her relationship with A$AP Rocky, describing them as best friends with a baby. “We’re on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship,” she said. “Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
