Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to media outlets circulating a viral report claiming her beauty hasn’t secured her a partner, warning that legal action will follow if the story isn’t taken down.
Over the weekend, the 48-year-old actress became the subject of online speculation after multiple platforms published an unsourced report alleging she blamed her single status on her physical appearance. The story quickly gained traction, sparking controversy and drawing widespread attention.
In her response posted on X (formerly Twitter), Adunni Ade categorically refuted the claims, labelling them “fake news” and accusing the platforms of spreading misinformation solely to drive engagement.
“I kindly request you to take down this post within 24 hours to prevent further action involving my legal team,” she wrote. “I don’t appreciate the fact that you are using my name to peddle false news and articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement.”
