Afrobeats Star Asake Receives Piece of Berlin Wall After Electrifying Performance

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake was awarded a piece of the historic Berlin Wall following a powerful performance at Berlin’s Uber Eats Music Hall on September 26, part of his ongoing Lungu Boy World tour. The unique accolade was presented in recognition of Asake’s extraordinary talent and his ability to bring people together through music.

The venue’s manager, in presenting the honour, drew parallels between Asake’s unifying music and Berlin’s own history. “Thirty-five years ago, this city was divided. This plaque is a symbol of unity, and we hope you’ll display it proudly in your home,” the manager said. The gesture highlighted the significance of the award, symbolising peace and connection across cultures.

This latest recognition comes on the heels of Asake’s sold-out performance at London’s iconic O2 Arena, where he received another prestigious plaque for his success. His Lungu Boy World tour, which has taken him to major cities across the globe, continues to solidify his standing as one of the leading forces in the Afrobeats genre.

With his growing global influence and accolades, Asake’s meteoric rise reflects the expanding reach of Nigerian music on the international stage, and his performance in Berlin will undoubtedly be remembered as a milestone in his career.
