Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ Podcast Joins SiriusXM in $125 Million Deal
Alex Cooper, the influential host behind the hit podcast “Call Her Daddy,” is concluding her partnership with Spotify and embarking on a new journey with SiriusXM.
In a landmark move, Cooper has signed a multi-year agreement with SiriusXM valued at $125 million over three years. This deal grants SiriusXM exclusive advertising and distribution rights for “Call Her Daddy” and other content from her Unwell Network. The agreement, which is more than double her previous contract with Spotify, will bring new and exclusive content to SiriusXM starting next year.
Alongside “Call Her Daddy,” SiriusXM will also manage global ad sales for Cooper’s Unwell Network, which includes popular podcasts like “Hot Mess with Alix Earle,” “Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy,” “Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey,” and “In Your Dreams with Owen Thiele.”
“Call Her Daddy,” which was Spotify’s second-most popular podcast in 2023, is following in the footsteps of other high-profile shows that have transitioned to SiriusXM. Earlier this year, SiriusXM secured “SmartLess,” hosted by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, in a three-year deal worth $100 million.
Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s president and chief content officer, highlighted the company’s growing investment in podcasting. In contrast, Spotify has been scaling back its podcasting efforts after substantial investments that included high-profile deals and acquisitions.
Despite the transition, Cooper’s podcast and Unwell Network shows will remain available on Spotify. Cooper, who initially signed with Spotify in 2021 for $60 million after leaving Barstool Sports, expressed enthusiasm about the move.
“The Daddy Gang will always be my top priority,” Cooper said. “With SiriusXM, we will continue to find new ways to evolve and provide my listeners the best experience.”
SiriusXM has not disclosed further details about the deal, and representatives for Cooper did not respond to requests for comment.
