Arsenal Fight Back From 2-0 Down to Beat Bournemouth and Maintain EPL Lead

Arsenal have a new hero.

Reiss Nelson, making his first Premier League appearance since November, completed Arsenal’s unbelievable comeback from 2-0 down against Bournemouth on Saturday with a sweet half-volley in the 97th minute that keeps the north London side’s lead atop the Premier League table at five points.

Bournemouth took the lead after just nine seconds when Philip Billing struck the second-fastest ever goal scored in Premier League history off an impressive kickoff routine. Marcos Senesi’s 57th-minute header threatened to compound Arsenal’s misery, but the Gunners responded with a pair of goals in just eight minutes, with Thomas Partey hammering home from close range and Ben White pushing a shot just past the goal line.

Nelson then found himself in open space and struck the winning goal off a last-gasp corner kick.
