AY Makun Admits He May Not Be a Role Model for Keeping a Home
Renowned Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has candidly admitted that he might not be a perfect example of maintaining a stable home.
AY made this revelation on Tuesday while celebrating his brother, Yomi Casual, and commending him for his unwavering love and respect for family. In a heartfelt Instagram post marking Yomi’s 40th birthday, AY acknowledged his shortcomings, stating:
“I may not have scored 100% in other responsibilities as a perfect example that is worthy of emulation when it comes to keeping the home front intact. But I’m proud to say the love and respect you (Yomi) have for the family is second to none. Love you lots!”
This comes months after the comedian openly reflected on some personal struggles during his marriage.
In April 2024, AY confirmed his separation from his wife, Mabel Makun, after nearly two decades of marriage. The couple’s split drew widespread attention, marking the end of a union that had lasted almost 20 years.
Despite his challenges on the home front, AY’s tribute to Yomi Casual underscores his admiration for family values and the importance of love and respect within familial relationships.
