In 2016, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie filed for divorce, ending their 12-year relationship. The couple shares six children together: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.
Before their separation, their busy schedules as A-list Hollywood actors often kept them away from home and left their children in the care of others.
Mark Billingham, a former bodyguard of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, worked with the couple for 18 months and claimed to have acted as a father figure to their children.
Billingham said, “I took them swimming – I fathered them, basically.” He also revealed that the couple’s biggest fear was that their children would be kidnapped, so they only trusted certain individuals to be alone with them.
Billingham was allowed to take the children anywhere he wanted on his own, but no one else was permitted to do so. He was even asked to carry spare outfits for the children in case of emergencies.
Despite their privileged upbringing, Billingham noted that the children were not spoiled but simply had not performed normal tasks because of the world they lived in.
Billingham also claimed that Angelina Jolie was tough and resilient, whereas Brad Pitt was more delicate and would not last long in gruelling situations. According to Billingham, Brad was a joker who once locked all the doors of a car before farting inside.
