Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy and Colombian global icon Shakira thrilled football fans around the world with a performance of the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song, “Dai Dai,” during the tournament’s opening ceremony.
The star-studded event took place on Thursday at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, setting the stage for the start of the biggest FIFA World Cup in history.

Burna Boy delivered an energetic rendition of “Dai Dai,” captivating the crowd with his signature stage presence and performance style.
Shakira later took to the stage to perform the opening verse of the tournament’s official anthem, following a performance by J Balvin.
The ceremony was held approximately one hour before the tournament’s opening match between Mexico and South Africa.
