Capcom’s Street Fighter II Champion Edition Welcomes The Reebok Shaq Attaq

Shaquille O’neal and Street Fighter II are quite alike in they they both revolutionized their respective fields, as reported on Sneaker News.

Shaq redefined the meaning of dominance, while Capcom’s flagship franchise created a blueprint for fighting games that still persists today. In 1992, both Shaq and SFII’s Champion Edition emerged as new players in the field.

While O’neal was terrorizing opponents with his unparalleled combination of fore and finesse, the Street Fighter II expansion allowed the four key bosses — Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M. Bison — to be playable characters.

In this upcoming collaboration of franchises, the Capcom x Reebok collection includes a Shaq Attaq decorated in signature colors of the arcade game with original artwork on the interior insoles and the video game’s iconic logo on the tongue pump module.

The concrete pattern covers the interior lining, while Reebok and Capcom are cobranded via labels. A full Capcom x Reebok collection is expected in late October, with a tentative release date of October 29th. See the first look below.
