Cardi B Receives Heartwarming Gift from GloRilla After Welcoming New Daughter
Cardi B was met with a touching surprise from her cousin, fellow rapper GloRilla, upon returning home from the hospital after giving birth to her third child. On Sunday, September 15, Cardi shared the special moment with her Instagram followers, posting a video of herself discovering a large, multicoloured floral arrangement.
In the video, Cardi expressed her curiosity, asking, “Who could these be from?” before reading the card attached to the bouquet. In the following clip, the Bronx rapper excitedly exclaimed, “I love my cousin! They’re from my cousin! Thank you, GloRilla!” as she admired the flowers.
Cardi and GloRilla’s familial connection first came to light during an interview with Big Boy earlier this year. Cardi explained that their grandfathers had ties to Tennessee, where her grandfather, unbeknownst to her grandmother, had fathered a child—GloRilla’s dad—making the two artists cousins.
The duo’s bond became even stronger after they collaborated on the hit song “Tomorrow 2.” During their time working together, Cardi recalled jokingly asking GloRilla if she felt they shared an unusually close connection, to which GloRilla responded with similar feelings. After digging into their family histories, they realized their shared lineage.
Cardi B and her husband Offset welcomed their new daughter on September 7, a joyous event they confirmed through heartwarming photos shared on social media. The post featured adorable family moments, including big sister Kulture, 6, and big brother Wave, 3, holding their newborn sibling. Cardi’s sister, Hennessy, also made a visit to meet the newest addition to the family.
Although the baby’s name has yet to be revealed, Cardi referred to her as “the prettiest lil thing” in her announcement, alongside a series of celebratory flower emojis. Fans and followers continue to shower the family with love and congratulations.
