Cristiano Ronaldo Offers Himself to Borussia Dortmund
Still bent on playing Champions League football in the 2022/2023 season, Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly offered himself to German side, Borussia Dortmund despite the controversy surrounding his time at Old Trafford.
Despite only rejoining the Red Devils a year ago, Ronaldo is keen to move on from the club following their failure to qualify for this season’s Champions League.
Having so far failed to secure an exit, reports in the UK and Bild say Borussia Dortmund have emerged as a possible landing spot.
According to the German outlet, the Portuguese striker offered his services to Dortmund through his agent Jorge Mendes.
While it remains to be seen whether a deal will happen, the news had some immediate benefits for Dortmund, who’s stock rose by 2.3 percent on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange following Bild’s report.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is keen to add to his Champions League tally, and it seems he could do so under the tutelage of Edin Terzic in the near future.
