Cubana Chief Priest Attributes Feud with Burna Boy to Jealousy over Davido
Popular socialite Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, has revealed that his ongoing dispute with Nigerian music star Burna Boy stems from jealousy surrounding his relationship with singer Davido.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Rubbin Minds on Sunday, Chief Priest explained that Burna Boy’s frustration arose from his decision to align with Davido rather than work with him.
“My whole issue with Burna Boy started because he was jealous of my relationship with Davido,” Chief Priest said. “He wanted CP by his side, but I chose to work with Davido.”
The socialite emphasized that Davido has never discussed Burna Boy with him, suggesting that the feud is fueled by assumptions and external provocations. “Davido isn’t the kind of person who would use his time to discuss his colleagues. It’s always them imagining things and trying to drag us,” he added.
The rift between Chief Priest and Burna Boy escalated after Burna Boy’s alleged involvement in the arrest of fellow singer Speed Darlington. Darlington had accused Burna Boy of engaging in questionable behavior with American music executive Diddy to secure a Grammy win.
The tension between the two prominent figures has been the subject of intense online debates, with fans weighing in on the high-profile conflict.
