Speed Darlington Survives Suspected Assassination Attempt Days After Prison Release
Controversial Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has reportedly escaped an alleged assassination attempt, just days after his release from detention at Kuje prison.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Monday, the artist revealed that unknown gunmen attacked his vehicle in the early hours of the day as he left a club in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State.
The footage showed multiple bullet holes in the rear of his car, evidence of the attack. While visibly shaken, Darlington accused an unnamed individual, whom he referred to as “long face,” of orchestrating the attempt on his life.
“Long face sent killers my way, and I have not even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?” the rapper said in the video.
Darlington expressed concerns for his safety following the incident, which occurred less than a week after his release from prolonged detention. His allegations have sparked widespread speculation among fans and social media users, though details about the incident and those involved remain unclear.
Authorities have yet to comment on the situation or confirm an official investigation into the alleged attack.
