Davido Credits Chioma for Inspiring Him to Marry
Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared that his wife, Chioma, was the driving force behind his decision to get married.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Morning Hustle podcast, the singer described his wedding day as the happiest moment of his life and revealed that his 12-year relationship with Chioma made marriage a natural next step.
“Chioma has been my girl for 12 years, so it was only right I married her,” Davido said. “I was already famous before we met, but I wasn’t big then. If it wasn’t her [Chioma], I’m not getting married. There’s no point.”
Davido and Chioma officially tied the knot on June 25, 2024, in a grand ceremony held in Lagos. The event, attended by family and close friends, solidified their long-standing bond.
