Davido Finally Bows to Pressure, Deletes Controversial Video

Renowned singer and record label executive, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken down the short clip from the controversial video of his artiste, Logos Olori’s new single ‘Jaye Lo,’ which he had shared on Twitter.

The video clip, which depicted people praying and dancing in front of a mosque, sparked widespread criticism, with many individuals urging the singer to delete the video and issue an apology to Muslims for what they perceived as a “disrespectful” portrayal of Islam.

Despite initially ignoring the backlash, the DMW boss eventually decided to remove the “offensive” video from his Twitter page on Sunday.

Upon inspection of his verified Twitter handle @davido, Lifestyle by Swishinteractiv confirmed that the contentious video has been taken down.

As of the time of filing this report, however, Davido has not offered an apology to the Muslim community for the incident. The absence of an apology leaves the matter unresolved, and further responses from the singer are awaited.

Below is a snippet from the controversial video.
