Max Verstappen Helps Red Bull Make History at Hungarian Grand Prix

In a stunning display of dominance, Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing secured his team a record 12th consecutive win at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Dutchman’s triumph further solidified Red Bull’s position at the top, as they have now won every race this season, a total of 11 victories. Their remarkable streak also includes the final race of the previous season, surpassing McLaren’s longstanding record of 11 straight wins set back in 1988.

Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull Racing, expressed immense pride in the achievement, acknowledging the relentless efforts put in by the entire team. “It’s something the whole team has worked so hard for, and it’ll mean so much,” he shared with Sky Sports.

Max Verstappen, who clinched the checkered flag for the 44th time in his career, dominated the Hungarian Grand Prix, triumphing by over 30 seconds. This remarkable victory marks his seventh win this season, highlighting his unparalleled performance.

Verstappen, in an interview with Sky Sports, praised the team’s outstanding record, expressing his hopes to continue the winning streak for a long time to come. “What we’ve been going through these last few years is incredible, and hopefully, we can keep this going for a long time. A day like today is just perfect,” he added.

With such a commanding lead in the constructors’ championship, Red Bull Racing seems to be on a path towards claiming the world title. Verstappen’s incredible form has played a significant role in their success. Team principal Christian Horner acknowledged the Dutch driver’s brilliance, describing him as a “driver totally at one with himself, at one with the car,” and a “sportsman at the top of his game.”

As the season progresses, the real battle now appears to be for the second-place position. Teammate Sergio Perez trails Verstappen by 99 points, holding the runner-up spot, while Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin sits in third place, a further 32 points behind Perez.

The Hungarian Grand Prix witnessed McLaren’s Lando Norris securing second place, showcasing the team’s competitive spirit. Meanwhile, Sergio Perez claimed third place, and Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, settled for fourth.

Red Bull Racing’s dominance has unquestionably been the highlight of the season, making Formula 1 enthusiasts eager to see how the remaining races will unfold in this exhilarating championship.
