Oleksandr Usyk Identifies Anthony Joshua’s Key Weakness Following Loss to Daniel Dubois
Ukrainian boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk has highlighted a critical flaw in Anthony Joshua’s technique following his recent defeat to Daniel Dubois. The loss, which took place at Wembley Stadium before 96,000 spectators, saw Joshua suffer his fourth career defeat after Dubois secured victory in just five rounds.
Speaking about the fight, Usyk, who has beaten Joshua twice in the past, pointed out that Joshua’s poor footwork played a major role in his downfall. Usyk explained that Joshua’s tendency to lean back during movement left him vulnerable, stating, “Anthony had one problem… if you want to step back, do it by moving your feet, not by leaning. This is dangerous.”
Usyk expressed that he wasn’t surprised by the outcome, noting, “Daniel Dubois today was better. It’s boxing, anything can happen.”
Dubois’ win, which allowed him to defend his IBF heavyweight title, has sparked discussion about the future of Joshua’s career and the adjustments he may need to make going forward.
