Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy will Collaborate on a Song – Iyanya
Nigerian singer Iyanya has expressed confidence that a musical collaboration between Afrobeats superstars Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy will eventually happen.
Iyanya shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) while responding to a viral podcast clip in which Davido attributed the delay in working with Wizkid and Burna Boy to fan-fueled rivalry. According to Davido, fans often stir tension and comparison among the trio, making collaboration difficult.
Reposting the clip, Iyanya encouraged the artists to focus on unity and creativity rather than online drama, stating that such a collaboration would be both meaningful and lucrative.
“Trolls trying to make money off trolling real hardworking brothers,” Iyanya wrote. “It’s not easy to look away sometimes, especially when they come for someone or something so dear to your heart.”
He added, “I believe one day we will get that collaboration between David, Wiz, and Burna. I am one of those in the industry who have been privileged to work with all three. Let’s make music and get money.”
While Wizkid and Burna Boy have worked together on tracks such as Ginger and B. D’or, and Burna Boy once collaborated with Davido on Trumpet prior to his rise to global fame, Davido and Wizkid have yet to release a joint single—despite years of anticipation and calls from fans.
The potential collaboration between the three giants of Afrobeats continues to be a topic of interest in the music industry, with many hopeful that the moment will arrive sooner rather than later.
