Deeone Admits Using Nedu to Trap VeryDarkMan
Former reality TV show housemate Deeone has revealed that he deliberately used his appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast to expose social media critic VeryDarkMan.
Speaking in a recent interview on TVC’s Breakfast Show, Deeone disclosed that his controversial remarks on the podcast were part of a carefully planned strategy – one that even the show’s host, Nedu Wazobia, was unaware of.
The controversy began when Deeone, during his appearance on Honest Bunch, accused VeryDarkMan of engaging in same-sex relationships. In response, VeryDarkMan fired back in a viral Instagram video, alleging that Nedu used his platform to exploit rising entertainers in exchange for opportunities. The backlash from this claim ultimately led to Nedu’s dismissal from the podcast.
Expressing regret over Nedu’s job loss, Deeone admitted, “I set a trap for VeryDarkMan using Nedu, but Nedu had no idea. If I had made those accusations on social media, people would have dismissed it as clout chasing. I needed a platform, and I had been studying VeryDarkMan for months to determine if he was genuine or just manipulating Nigerians.”
He added, “Even Nedu was shocked. If he had known my plan, he wouldn’t have allowed it because he is friends with VeryDarkMan. I honestly didn’t expect him to lose his job, and I feel really bad about that. But I used Nedu as bait, and it worked perfectly.”
The revelation has sparked mixed reactions, with many questioning the ethics behind Deeone’s actions and the fallout it caused.
