Omotola Jalade Opens Up on Body Changes After Surgery
Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared how an emergency surgery she recently underwent affected her confidence.
In a post on her Instagram page on Saturday, the actress reflected on the impact of a gallbladder removal surgery she had in late 2024, revealing that it left her with scars and changed the appearance of her stomach.
“My tummy used to be one of the best parts of my body, but it’s not so perfect now,” she admitted while sharing a video from a recent photoshoot.
She recalled a moment during the shoot when she instinctively grabbed her top, only to hear a voice in her head saying there was “nothing to show anymore.”
However, Omotola dismissed any doubts about her confidence, stating, “Not me! What will shake my confidence has not been created. I smiled and danced. I’m alive – it’s just scars. Some people’s scars are physical, while some are emotional.”
The actress first revealed her health struggles in November 2024, describing her battle with a life-threatening illness. Her latest post has sparked admiration from fans, who praised her for embracing her journey with strength and positivity.
