Singer L.A.X Reveals He Begged Girlfriend to Stay After She Cheated
Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X, has opened up about a past relationship where he pleaded with his girlfriend to stay despite discovering she had been unfaithful.
Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the singer shared that he found out about the infidelity after his girlfriend came home intoxicated. Out of concern, he checked her phone and saw messages suggesting she had spent the night with someone else.
“I was dating this girl. She came in drunk, and I held her to the bed because she was unstable. She even threw up,” he recalled. “I checked her phone and saw a message that read, ‘I enjoyed this night. I think we should do this again.’”
When he confronted her, she downplayed the situation, insisting that the person in question was “just a friend.” Instead of expressing anger, L.A.X admitted that he found himself begging her to stay and trying to salvage the relationship.
“Trust me, it was me that was now begging. I said we could work it out, and she said, ‘Okay, don’t worry,’” he recounted.
His revelation has sparked reactions from fans, with many surprised at his response to the situation.
