Diddy Allegedly Refusing To Leave Jail Cell To Avoid Sexual Assault Lawsuits
Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly refusing to leave his jail cell to officially receive service of several sexual assault lawsuits, potentially delaying legal proceedings in cases filed against him.
Diddy, who is currently in custody awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, has faced multiple lawsuits from individuals accusing him of sexual misconduct. According to court filings from December 30, Tony Buzbee’s co-counsel alleges that Diddy has declined to leave his cell, preventing the formal acknowledgement of two particular lawsuits.
The attorneys representing the plaintiffs have requested that scheduled court conferences on January 10 be postponed to February, citing the delays caused by Diddy’s noncompliance. It appears both legal teams are working toward agreements on how the cases will move forward. Neither Diddy nor his legal representatives have commented on the refusal claims.
One of the most recent lawsuits filed against the music mogul includes allegations of sexual harassment, sexual battery, and sex trafficking. The plaintiff, identified as Phillip Pines, alleges that during his tenure as Diddy’s assistant from 2019 to 2021, he was subjected to inappropriate and degrading tasks.
Pines claims his duties involved preparing hotel rooms for events described as “Wild King Nights,” where he was instructed to provide items such as alcohol, sexual aids, and illicit drugs. He also alleges that he was coerced into sexual acts while Diddy watched. After the events, Pines says he was tasked with cleaning up bodily fluids, drug paraphernalia, and other remnants of the gatherings.
In response to the latest allegations, Diddy’s legal team issued a statement denying the accusations. “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor,” the statement read. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court.”
Diddy’s trial in the criminal case is scheduled to begin in May 2025, encompassing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and other related offenses.
