Diddy Removed from Suicide Watch Amid Sex Trafficking Allegations
American rapper and music mogul Sean Combs, known as Diddy, has reportedly been removed from suicide watch following his arrest on multiple charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The 53-year-old was initially placed under close surveillance after his September 16 arrest by Homeland Security.
According to People magazine, a law enforcement source confirmed on September 29 that Diddy was no longer on suicide watch. Another source revealed that while in custody, he has received visits from family members and is focusing on preparing his defence ahead of his court appearance in early October.
Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that the music executive remains strong and is concentrating on clearing his name. The rapper has denied all charges and entered a not-guilty plea on September 17.
The charges against Diddy stem from an investigation into alleged sex trafficking and interstate transportation for prostitution. During a raid on his Beverly Hills mansion in March, federal agents reportedly seized large quantities of drugs and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil, which they claimed were intended for “freak off” orgies. In a TMZ documentary, Diddy’s lawyer explained that the baby oil was purchased in bulk from Costco, a claim Costco later refuted.
Despite his not-guilty plea, Diddy’s bail requests have been denied twice, leaving him in federal custody as he awaits trial.
