Jack in the Box Just Opened a Temporary Snoop Dogg Themed Restaurant in California
Jack in the Box has introduced a temporary pop-up restaurant in Inglewood, California, themed after iconic rapper Snoop Dogg, but contrary to expectations, the menu will not feature gin and juice.
Operating exclusively during the July Fourth holiday weekend, the San Diego-based fast-food chain’s pop-up restaurant, named Dogg in tha Boxx, will be open until July 2 at 1220 Centinela Avenue, as stated in the news release. The Snoopified menu includes items like the Snoopadelic Shake and a Snoop Munchie meal.
In addition to the Snoop-themed food, fans of the rapper can immerse themselves in the experience by sitting on Snoop’s throne and admiring the lowriders, a popular feature in Los Angeles culture, parked outside the restaurant. Snoop Dogg has a notable affinity for vehicles, particularly the Cadillac DeVille.
Jack in the Box’s collaboration with the Long Beach native brings a “Snoopified” 24-hour fast food spot to Inglewood, catering to late-night cravings, according to the news release. The company’s website states that many of its permanent restaurants are open for 18 to 24 hours.
Mijal Tenenbaum, a spokesperson for Jack in the Box, explained that the partnership between Jack in the Box and Snoop Dogg was a natural fit, as both are known for their rebellious leadership and unique approach. Tenenbaum highlighted that Snoop’s appeal resonates with the late-night crowd, who are more inclined to indulge in items like Tiny Tacos or Curly Fries from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
This isn’t the first collaboration between the rapper and Jack in the Box. They previously worked together in 2018 for the launch of the Munchie Meal, according to Tenenbaum, who expressed enthusiasm in welcoming Snoop Dogg back. However, it remains uncertain whether Snoop Dogg himself will make an appearance at the pop-up restaurant, as confirmed by Tenenbaum.
