Priscilla Ojo Addresses Father’s Absence at Her Wedding
Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, has responded to the controversy surrounding her father’s absence at her wedding ceremony in Tanzania.
Priscilla tied the knot with her fiancé, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, in an Islamic wedding on Friday. However, her father, Ademidun Ojo, was notably missing from the ceremony, sparking speculation about a possible family rift.
Social media users criticized Priscilla, accusing her of excluding her father from the wedding plans. Some also speculated that his absence was linked to long-standing tensions between Ademidun and his ex-wife, Iyabo Ojo.
In response to the backlash, Priscilla took to Snapchat on Sunday evening, sharing a screenshot of a video call with her father. The post appeared to be an attempt to dispel rumours of a strained relationship.
Iyabo Ojo has previously spoken about her past with Ademidun. In a 2023 interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, she described her marriage as her first experience with poverty.
