Diddy Reportedly Taken to Hospital for Knee Pain While in Jail
Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly hospitalized last week after experiencing knee pain while in jail, according to the New York Post.
The 55-year-old, who is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center, was taken to a Brooklyn hospital on January 30 for an MRI scan to assess his long-standing knee issues. The discomfort is believed to stem from injuries sustained during his participation in the New York Marathon years ago.
Authorities approved the scan, which was scheduled around 10 p.m., likely to avoid drawing attention from other inmates and jail staff. He was transported back to his cell shortly after the procedure and did not stay overnight.
Neither Diddy nor his legal team has commented on his health status, and a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson declined to disclose medical details about any inmate.
Legal Troubles Intensify
Diddy has been in federal custody since September 2024, facing serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. His legal battles worsened recently after federal prosecutors in New York filed a superseding indictment, adding allegations from two more unnamed women to the case.
The updated filing accuses him of using force, threats, and coercion to make victims engage in commercial sex acts, a practice allegedly referred to as “freak offs.” Prosecutors claim his criminal conduct spanned from 2004 to 2024, extending the original indictment’s timeline by four years.
One of the most disturbing allegations suggests that, like his former rival Suge Knight, Diddy once dangled a victim over an apartment balcony as part of a pattern of violent abuse. The indictment also accuses him of violating federal drug laws, alleging he used and distributed substances such as methamphetamine, cocaine, and oxycodone.
Furthermore, prosecutors claim he paid $100,000 to Los Angeles hotel staff in 2016 to obtain security footage of him allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie.
Defense Pushes Back
Diddy’s lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has dismissed the new allegations, calling them “ridiculous.” He criticized the government’s legal strategy, arguing that prosecutors are now claiming that Diddy’s past girlfriends were not actually girlfriends but prostitutes.
Despite the mounting accusations, Agnifilo stated, “Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”
Diddy’s trial is set to begin on May 5, and if convicted, he could face life in prison.
