Diddy Sues Man For $50M For Claiming He Has Tapes Of Him Sexually Assaulting Minors

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has initiated a $50 million defamation lawsuit against grand jury witness Courtney Burgess, his attorney Ariel Mitchell, and media giant Nexstar, the parent company of NewsNation. The legal action stems from what Diddy describes as a series of “false and defamatory statements” made by Burgess and amplified by the media.

Burgess alleged in multiple interviews that he possessed video evidence of Diddy engaging in sexual assaults, including against minors and celebrities. He further claimed that Diddy’s late former partner, Kim Porter, had provided him with videos and a memoir corroborating these allegations.

The lawsuit accuses the defendants of fabricating the accusations for personal gain and recklessly broadcasting them without verifying their accuracy. Diddy’s legal team, led by attorney Erica Wolff, stated:

“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is taking a stand against the malicious falsehoods that have been fabricated and amplified by individuals seeking to profit at his expense. These defendants have willfully fabricated and disseminated outrageous lies with reckless disregard for the truth.”

The suit also cites Burgess’s claim of possessing an alleged photograph of Justin Bieber in a compromising situation, which Diddy’s team has vehemently denied as another baseless allegation.

Burgess, however, remains defiant, telling The New York Times: “I’m standing by my word. He had a lot of nerve to want to sue somebody when he’s going to rot in jail for all of the things he’s done.”

This lawsuit follows a rejected motion by Diddy to impose a gag order on witnesses involved in his ongoing sex trafficking and racketeering case. The presiding judge, Arun Subramanian, ruled that such an order was unwarranted at this stage, stating: “Combs’s authorities don’t support a gag order applicable not only to trial participants but also to any alleged victim and their lawyer.”

The case has drawn widespread attention due to the high-profile nature of the accusations and the legal battles surrounding them. Nexstar and Ariel Mitchell have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
