DJ Khaled Blesses Fan Who Camped Outside His Sneaker Store Since Early Hours
DJ Khaled, the renowned music producer, and DJ, displayed his love for his fans by surprising a dedicated supporter with a brand new pair of J. Balvin SP Air Jordan 3 sneakers.
The heartwarming gesture occurred when Khaled learned about a fan who had been camping outside his Snipes sneaker store in Miami since 4 a.m. as a sign of unwavering dedication. Impressed by the fan’s commitment, the “We The Best” mogul decided to cover the $250 cost of the fan’s “Medellín Sunset” sneaker purchase.
With enthusiasm, Khaled expressed his desire to provide this special gift to the devoted fan, who was initially reluctant to accept the offer. “I wanna do it,” Khaled emphatically stated, insisting that the fan accept the gift. “It’s okay to take a gift. I know you got money. I wanna do it. He’s been out here since four in the morning; that’s what we do!”
After this heartwarming exchange, they shared a hug, and the lucky fan headed inside the store. Khaled continued to engage with fans, signing sneakers, and taking selfies with those gathered along Collins Avenue.
Expressing his gratitude, the fortunate recipient of the J. Balvin-designed sneakers said, “Thank you Khaled; that was so real. I appreciate it. I’m gonna support your store forever. I love you, man. Blessing the kids, thank you.”
The J. Balvin SP Air Jordan 3 sneakers, featuring a cream-colored design inspired by the Colombian sunset, quickly sold out within minutes of their release last month. While they had an initial retail price of $250, the resale market is pricing them well above $400.
On the music front, DJ Khaled is gearing up for his Till Next Time project, scheduled for release in early 2024. A savvy marketer, Khaled recently escorted Drake to the stage during one of his Miami concerts to announce that he has two songs with the Canadian artist on his upcoming album.
“I have 2 Drake songs on my new album — coming 2024,” Khaled’s sign read, eliciting laughter from Drake, who stood beside him. The duo has a history of successful collaborations, including hits like “I’m On One” (2011), “No New Friends” (2013), “For Free” (2016), and “Staying Alive” (2022).
