Elon Musk Changes His decision Over the Blue tick: He’s Giving the Verification Badge to Twitter Users With Over One Million Followers

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter last year, he has not stopped making decisions that have generated controversy and the South African tycoon has implemented many changes that are causing a lot of annoyance to the platform’s users.

As reported on Marca, one of the most talked about has been the removal of the blue verified tick from accounts that do not pay for his Twitter Blue service, something that was previously completely free.

This measure came into force last Thursday and since then there have been many critical voices, such as celebrities who had many followers and believe they should not have to pay for it, like Sergio Ramos, who has complained publicly.

But now, Elon Musk has modified a condition of elimination of the blue tick and some users will be able to have this symbol on their profile. Only users with more than one million followers will be able to have it without paying. Those who meet this requirement have already their checkmark return.

The Daily Mail claims that the entrepreneur has taken this decision after seeing that the celebrities who are on Twitter were not willing to pay to have the blue tick and to make up for this failure, Musk has had a change of heart.

This was not the only concession from the owner of Tesla, he had personally given this badge to LeBron James, William Shatner and the writer Stephen King, after all three publicly claimed they wouldn’t be paying the subscription fee.

Users with more than a million followers have seen how they once again have this tick and soon wanted to explain that they had neither requested nor paid for it, to avoid being criticized.
