Ezra Miller Publicly Resurfaces at ‘The Flash’ Premiere

Days before the highly anticipated release of The Flash, Ezra Miller, the film’s star, made a surprising appearance at the Los Angeles premiere.

Previously entangled in disturbing allegations and arrests, Miller had been absent from the movie’s press events. However, on Monday evening, they walked the red carpet, donning a white suit jacket adorned with lightning bolts.

During the premiere, Miller expressed gratitude towards The Flash’s creative team for their public support amidst the controversy.

In a video posted by Deadline, Miller addressed director Andy Muschietti, referring to him as “Maestro” and praising his work.

They also thanked Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, and Warner Bros.’ Pamela Abdy and Michael De Luca for their initial casting and ongoing support.
Miller extended their appreciation to DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, acknowledging their grace, discernment, and care in bringing the moment to fruition.

The premiere did not include interviews but was attended by co-star Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, and Jessica Chastain, who previously collaborated with Muschietti in It Chapter Two.

Having previously apologized for their misconduct and disclosed receiving treatment for mental health issues, Miller expressed gratitude towards the thousands of artists and workers involved in the film’s creation, as well as those who supported them throughout their journey.

In January, Miller pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful trespassing in Vermont, resulting in a $500 fine, a year of probation, and various conditions, including ongoing mental health treatment.

The rep for Miller acknowledged that the potential risk to The Flash due to the controversy served as a wake-up call.

The Flash, featuring Miller in double leading roles, is set to debut in theaters on June 16.
