Falz Hints at a New Collaboration With Simi
Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and actor, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has recently stirred excitement among fans by hinting at a potential musical reunion with renowned Nigerian singer, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, known as Simi.
During a conversation on the Cool FM Friday show with Tacha, Falz shed light on his continued strong musical relationship with Simi. Responding to queries regarding their communication, especially considering that their last collaboration took place seven years ago, Falz affirmed their enduring connection by stating, “Simi is my gee, my gee-gee.”
The dynamic duo had previously joined forces to release “Chemistry,” a collaborative extended play (EP), on October 27, 2016, through Bahd Guys Records and X3M Music. Upon its debut, “Chemistry” garnered widespread acclaim from fans of both artists and prominent music critics. Notably, respected music critic Joey Akan of Pulse Nigeria highlighted the EP’s strategic marketing approach, emphasizing how the pair “leveraged public sentiment to create a valuable product.”
When inquired about the possibility of a new collaborative project, Falz tantalizingly responded, “We make great music together, and I’ve mentioned to her quite recently that we need to revisit it, so hopefully, fans can anticipate brand new music from Falz and Simi in the near future.”
