Fast 10 Budget Reportedly Nearing Avengers: Endgame Levels Of Expensive

Fast X’s budget is reportedly the highest of any movie in the franchise, with a new report putting the number not far off of Avengers: Endgame’s.

From humble beginnings back in the early 2000s, the Fast & Furious series is now one of the biggest action movie franchises still running today as reported by Screenrant.

Although F9: The Fast Saga was generally poorly received, the franchise is set to continue with next spring’s Fast X, which will serve as the penultimate installment.

In addition to bringing back Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto, the upcoming movie is set to see the return of most of the franchise’s existing characters while also introducing a host of new ones.
According to a recent report from The Wrap, Fast X’s budget has grown significantly from the previous installments and is now apparently around $340 million.

Not only is this the highest in franchise history, but it’s approaching the budget for Avengers: Endgame, which sits at a whopping $356 million.

A budget of $340 million would put Fast X into the conversation of the most expensive movies ever made, although it’s still firmly behind Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which is generally considered to be the most expensive movie of all time with most estimates putting the budget north of $400 million.

While there are a number of reasons that can account for Fast X’s gargantuan budget, the film’s growing cast may be among the biggest culprits.

Not only is Diesel reportedly making $20 million for appearing as Toretto in the movie, but a number of other legacy stars, such as Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris, are likely also commanding relatively large salaries.

The cast for Fast X will feature a host of other new and returning stars, including Sung Kang, Brie Larson, Jason Momoa, John Cena, Charlize Theron, Alan Ritchson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Rita Moreno, and Daniela Melchior, all of which are contributing to Fast X’s large price tag.
