‘I Don’t Joke with Them’ – Annie Idibia Reveals Her Backbone After Divorcing 2Face
Nollywood actress and model Annie Macaulay Idibia has publicly reaffirmed her devotion to her daughters, describing them as her ultimate source of strength amid her recent separation from music icon Innocent “2Face” Idibia.
Speaking at the Headies Awards held in Lagos on Sunday, Annie responded candidly when asked about her family, saying her two daughters – Isabella and Olivia – are all the family she has.
“You mean my children? My children dey kampe,” she said in Pidgin English. “The first one dey Yankee, she dey go school. No play with that girl o. I don’t play with my kids. Na them be my backbone.”
Annie, who recently reverted to her maiden name Macaulay, stirred further conversation during the event when she introduced herself on stage as single, saying, “My name is Annie Idi – oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!”
The actress’s comments come just a day after reports surfaced that 2Face introduced a new partner, Natasha, to his mother, fueling widespread speculation about the couple’s split.
The once high-profile relationship between Annie and 2Face, which spanned over a decade and included moments in the public eye and on reality TV, appears to have come to a formal end, with both parties now charting separate paths.
