I Relocated to Nigeria Because of Ramsey Nouah – Adunni Ade
Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has shared that her admiration for veteran actor Ramsey Nouah played a key role in her decision to relocate to Nigeria and pursue an acting career.
During a recent interview on Hip TV’s Trending, hosted by KimOprah, Adunni revealed that she was working as a model in the United States before meeting Ramsey Nouah, who encouraged her to make the move to Nigeria.
“He [Ramsey Nouah] was the one who gave me the confirmation to move to Nigeria,” Adunni said. “I told him about my goals and aspirations, and he gave me a great pep talk, which pushed me to take the leap.”
Despite relocating to Nigeria in 2011, she didn’t work with Ramsey until years later. Recounting her excitement, she said, “I’ve admired him for so long. Then, during a film festival, I greeted him, and the next day, I got a call saying Ramsey had cast me in a project.”
Adunni expressed her joy at working with the actor, describing him as a “phenomenal human being” and praising his versatility as an actor and director. She hinted at another upcoming collaboration with him but did not disclose further details.
Since her move in 2011, Adunni Ade has starred in over 250 Nollywood films, across both the English and Yoruba film industries, making her one of the most versatile actresses in Nigeria.
