T-Pain to Establish Music School in Wisconsin Following Success of “Can’t Believe It”

Grammy-winning artist T-Pain is set to open a music school in Wisconsin, inspired by the enthusiastic response to his 2008 hit “Can’t Believe It,” where he famously mentioned “Wiscansin.” In a recent interview with Billboard, T-Pain expressed his plans to establish an educational institution in the state, fulfilling a promise he made to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2023.

Reflecting on the recording process of “Can’t Believe It,” T-Pain shared his creative journey and described feeling inspired by Andre 3000’s artistic influence. He highlighted the significance of the song’s lyrics, which referenced a “mansion in Wiscansin,” and how it has become an integral part of his brand, influencing his tours, merchandise, and now, the establishment of a music school.

Acknowledging his collaboration with Lil Wayne as “awesome,” T-Pain also expressed gratitude for the support he has received from Wisconsin. In 2022, during his Road To Wiscansin Tour, the state officially recognized him, culminating in a Wiscansin Fest featuring a lineup of prominent artists.

During the festival, State Representative Kalan Haywood surprised T-Pain with a proclamation, declaring June 11 as “T-Pain Day.” Overwhelmed by the gesture, T-Pain emotionally thanked his fans and the state for their love and support, an event captured and celebrated on social media.

The proclamation not only honoured T-Pain but also recognized Wiscansin Fest as an annual event endorsed by the state of Wisconsin. The announcement was met with appreciation from T-Pain and the festival organizers, emphasizing the profound impact of his music and contributions to the local community.

As T-Pain continues to cement his legacy in the music industry, his decision to establish a music school in Wisconsin demonstrates his commitment to nurturing aspiring artists and fostering musical talent in the state.
