Davido: Sophia Momodu Shouldn’t Expect Wife Benefits – AbdulShally [VIDEO]
In the ongoing custody battle between Nigerian singer Davido and his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, businesswoman AbdulShally has shared her perspective, stating that a baby mama shouldn’t expect the same benefits as a wife.
Sophia Momodu recently accused Davido of neglecting their daughter, Imade, and failing to provide financial support over the past two years. Davido countered by claiming that Sophia rejected his offer to stay in an apartment he purchased in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, demanding instead that he continue paying over N20 million in yearly rent. Additionally, she turned down his N5 million accommodation support.
During an Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, AbdulShally commented on the situation. She expressed her belief that a N5 million yearly housing allowance is sufficient in Nigeria, drawing from her personal experience.
“I’m not for or against any of them because nobody really knows the story,” AbdulShally said. “But, to me, N5 million is enough money for housing allowance anywhere in Nigeria. My own opinion is based on my personal experience. A baby mama shouldn’t expect a wife’s benefit.”
Her remarks have sparked discussions on social media, with many weighing in on the expectations and responsibilities in such relationships.
