Ice Spice Receives Unexpected Gift From Fan After Sexy Boop Performance

Ice Spice, the New York rap artist, was taken aback after receiving an unusual gift in response to her sexually provocative Betty Boop performance, which set social media abuzz with controversy.

The rapper took to her Instagram Stories to share a picture of a King James Version (KJV) Bible she received from a fan following the performance, seemingly indicating that the fan presented the Bible as a symbolic gesture for her to repent from her perceived actions.

In her Instagram post, Ice Spice humorously captioned the photo, expressing her surprise at the fan’s gift of the Bible after her show.

The commotion ignited during Ice Spice’s appearance at the Power 105 Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia over the weekend. The rapper donned a scantily clad Betty Boop costume that she nicknamed “Wetty Boop” on social media. Her bold interpretation of the cartoon character in a revealing red dress garnered immense attention as she twerked and moved provocatively during the set.

While the crowd erupted in response to her performance, there were moments when Ice Spice adjusted her dress to maintain modesty as it rode up, especially during her shaking and twerking.

Criticism arose from Nikki D, the first female rapper ever signed to Def Jam Records in 1989, who scrutinized the current state of female rap, branding it the “prostitution era.” Nikki D voiced her concerns over the genre’s direction, criticizing Ice Spice’s performance and calling for a return to authentic live shows without pre-recorded vocals.

Nikki D expressed her disappointment in Ice Spice’s performance style and questioned her position as a leading female rap artist in the current scene, urging for more professional stage production and live vocal delivery at shows. She even offered to extend advice and guidance to the “Princess Diana” rapper, suggesting her time in the limelight might be fleeting.
