Infinix and University of Ibadan Unveil Upgraded ICT Student Resource Centre
Infinix, a prominent technology brand committed to empowering today’s youth, has inaugurated the newly renovated ICT Student Resource Centre at the University of Ibadan. This significant event, which took place on Thursday, June 13, 2024, underscores the fruitful collaboration between Infinix and the university.
The partnership aims to enhance the academic, entrepreneurial, social, and technical skills of students. Additionally, it seeks to establish the Infinix Club at the university to foster student engagement in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

A key objective of this collaboration is to facilitate access to job and internship opportunities for University of Ibadan students within Transsion and its subsidiaries, both in Nigeria and globally. Reflecting this commitment, Infinix recently hired six UI students as Graduate Trainees following an open application process.
The renovated ICT Student Resource Centre, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, is a testament to Infinix’s dedication to advancing educational infrastructure. The centre aims to enhance students’ learning experiences and foster innovation.

Professor Kayode Adebowale, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, praised Infinix for its investment in the university and its role in promoting technological proficiency among students.

We anticipate further collaborations, including providing scholarships for financially challenged yet talented students,” said Professor Adebowale.
